Amazon announced that smart home cameras from Nest, August, Amcrest, EZViz, IC Realtime, Vivint, Logitech Circle 2, Ring and Arlo will be compatible with the touch screen Echo Show on local Thursday. In other words, the latest Amazon Echo Show products can be used in other cameras around.

It is known that the well-known Nest and Ring belongs to Google, with a series of smart home camera. Ring is a smart doorbell manufacturer which mainly produce smart monitoring camera, and the development momentum is fierce.

With this compatibility, Alexa customers with these smart home cameras will be able to connect to their accounts and display the latest status in real time on Echo Show.

Amazon also provides smart home camera control services through the Smart Home Skill API (Application Programming Interface) for all developers, which makes it easier for developers to connect cameras to Alexa. The API can be adapted to Amazon's standardized Alexa language model, which means that developers do not need to build a speech interaction model again.

It is reported that Echo Show with a 7-inch touch screen will access to video calls, which allows other Echo Show owners or Alexa smartphone users hands-free video calls.
